Peeping Tomcat

continued from here

[ The slight scrape of his teeth made her breath hitch, and she didn't hesitate for a second to close that last bit of distance between their lips to kiss him. ]

[He got up and let her lead him into her bedroom, stalking behind her with a rising sort of intent that was making his eyes glimmer. This would be a mating, and that was... something else. Something more than the casual flings of two interested parties coming together.]

Possibly not. But, darling, if we're moving forward with this, you realize that means that I'll be around more, mm?

You're quite sure of that?

[His hand came up to trail along the nape of her neck, tugging at a stray lock of hair.]

Because once you agree, I may show up in strange places.

Your shower when you're occupied. Outside of work to escort you home. Perhaps while you're shopping so I might offer suggestions. Or in bed with you in the middle of the night. Only if you're comfortable with that.

[It could be considered stalking behavior, and he recognized that. From a human, it would be. From a feline shifter- or any shifter really, it was just par for the course. He was a dominant personality, even if he could and would submit to her, but she would be his. Checking in on her, surprising her, amusing her was his right. Or would be, if they were to make this a thing.]

[Maybe if she didn't work with the types she did, she'd have a harder time understanding it. There was that moment where he had to wonder if she was going to say no. She had the right to. It was a lot for a human to have to adjust to. But she had the right of it. If she needed space, he'd do his best to give it to her. If he crawled into bed and she wanted privacy or some alone time, he could find his way to the couch. They'd have to adjust for each other, if they wanted to try to make it work. He didn't expect her to be the only one that compromised, but the specifics of it was going to have to be on a case by case basis.

For now, he'd compromise by not asking her to hold on while he went out and hunted down the jackal before crawling into bed with her. If she'd been a shifter, he would have and she would have probably allowed it. Ah, compromises.]

I'll have to do my best not to sully it.
