Coffeeshop wedding
The marriage itself may be for them, but everything that surrounded the giving of vows was very much not so, and Ghanima had known this from the start. The whole thing was lavish, ostentatious, and involved a lot of people that neither she nor Mordred would have chosen to share this day with had they been left to their own devices.
It wasn't a problem. If some good publicity and networking was accomplished during the festivities, all the better. It might save both her and her husband from having to reassure family members that they were still loyal to their own and that this union would not compromise them.
She had spent actual hours getting her hair done, having makeup applied, getting her nails done and getting into her dress; some alone time would have been appreciated, but that wasn't why she'd asked all the people fussing around her to give her a few minutes.
It was because she was very aware that someone who according to tradition shouldn't be in the room had somehow managed to weasel his way in there anyway.
"I knew you'd cheat."
